Why at 38 I'm shifting focus, and why you should too

You’ve probably heard fitness pros talk about lifting heavy and eating more protein…
But have you ever stopped to ask why they say it over and over again, especially for women over 35?
Here’s what made me start paying closer attention.
It’s also why I’m no longer just focused on helping women “get strong,” but on helping them stay vibrant and independent as they age.

Here’s what shook me:
👉 22% of women who fracture a hip will die within one year.
👉 In late perimenopause, we can lose up to 20- 25% of our bone density—with 5–7% coming from the hips alone.
👉 25% of women over 65 have osteoporosis, and 1 in 3 of them will suffer a hip fracture.
👉 54% of women post-menopause have osteopenia (low bone density)
These stats aren’t here to scare you—they’re here to wake us up.
We need to do more than just move. We need to train smart and with intention.
This is why I’m creating Strong Through Menopause.
A program to help you build muscle, protect your bones, and feel strong, confident, and capable through every stage of midlife.
In my next post (I promise it won’t be this heavy), I’ll share how we can start reclaiming our strength, without spending hours at the gym.
Stay tuned ❤️
Amanda
